The unique appearance of Jelly candy with its bright, fluorescent and chewy colors is the starting point for Boy’s paintings. These characters are applied to marine life, various objects and mixed with popular culture icons—from comics, animation, films—in paintings to create an underwater scene with a noisy atmosphere, but also calming and immersive. Composed with a mixture of realist, stylization and cartoon techniques, Boy’s paintings are simulations of an imaginary world, a Pop-Psychedelic world.
